I decided I will not buy at this time. [I may kill my keyboard however as the T only works if you hit it with a hammer --I cleaned under it and there is nothing wrong making it stick. 8 x or more banging on ze key is needed to get a single t happening. My finger is being harmed and I'm working on finding words that do no use, argh, T]. I should wait till I sell ze U.S. house and then a) have hopefully more to put down on one and b) know how much exactly we will have for ze purchase of a place for my Ema here as well. She, uh, needs to live somewhere too.

I missed out, just, on a fabulous place to rent. There were two places on Nordau, both listed as being 55 sq meters (tiny), both having a handy only (“only!”) 900 a month deal, and one of which was furnished. The tiny unfurnished one I saw first was a disaster –old, lamps hanging from wires, 4 floor walk-up, lots of “you can’t put anything here as there is a doorway/not enough space” usless space in it. On a whim I went to see the furnished one. It was HUGE. Not 55 as they listed it but 60 and what a 60–there was more usable space than in my 75 sq m apartment. Fully furnished, it felt and looked huge. They would agree to remove all the furniture except the table (I do no have), it was on the first floor (moving in is cheap baby, cheap), and of course a cat is no problem (ahem). Plus, it was fully renovated. But, because I’d gone to the unfurnished one first, and even early and still got to this place a good 10 minutes before it was set to be shown –another girl was there before me and “if her husband who did not see decides no …” (tiny sliver of hope is their budget is for only 800 a month…). She was filling ze agreement out even as I looked around, however, but maybe I will get a call in ze next 2 days from ze owners who really liked me (you are a professor! You made aliyah! You look– doesn’t she look?– like our cousin’s daughter). Probably won’t happen but maybe, maybe…

To console myself, however, I may just have to go down to ze shuk area and seek out a vegan meal prepared by a man who has not just 7 cats but also a dog and who started the spaying program. Thank you Marni for bringing this guy to my attention because there probably won’t be a romantic anything from it (he is hot!!) but he is definitely someone I want to meet! Yo, a man with 7 cats…(be pacific my pounding heart)
