Psychotically divorced from reality
As a result of 150 Hamas militants being handcuffed and arrested in the West Bank, Senior Hamas offical, Sami Abu Zuhri, threatens to bring the fighting to the West Bank and proclaims:
“What is happening in the West Bank is a real coup and real terrorism. We will not stand handcuffed against these crimes in the West Bank. We will take all steps to secure an end to these crimes.”
Yeah, arresting someone and holding them safe and alive behind bars is a far greater act of terrorism than THIS. I mean, geez there is just no comparison.
Listen, I know a lot of people are reading my blog currently that don’t usually and I know that many of you are certainly not fans of Israel (yeah I check where my hits are coming from). I know that many of you have a very strongly formed opinion that Israel is always bad and the Palestinians are always good and g-d knows the mainstream media, particularly sources such as the BBC, has done its best to present us as morally bankrupt monsters who oppress people for no reason, and arrest people for no reason, and engage in all kinds of horrific crimes.
I would like you to look at the rhetoric above from Hamas about the arrests and then please look at that video or read the description of what it depicts of Hamas in action if you can’t face watching it, which is utterly understandable, and then consider for just one moment that perhaps such similar claims and rhetoric that are completely divorced from reality have been leveled in Israel’s direction from these same people.

BTW I sleep badly and often watch television in the middle of the night. Three nights ago, I was just flicking through the channels to find that not only the BBC news, but also Channel 4 were showing outrageously slanderous programmes about Israel. I didn’t sleep at all after that.

The BBC completely distorts reality and has an anti-Israel (and antisemitic) agenda. It is rare that there is a factual, truthful report or article regarding Israel. This does not offer a true picture of the complex political situation in the region and does not serve the interests of anyone in the region, not the Israelis or the Palestinians. We need accurate information and articles that promote dialogue and solutions. In my local newspaper today here in Austin, Texas, the editorial presented an absurd analysis of the situation in Gaza.
