CUNY reflects the typical state of mind of many New York academics. They are rabidly anti-American and believe that anyone who is actively engaged in fighting the U.S. is part of the downtrodden poor of the world and deserves all the assistance they can muster.
In the same way CUNY assists illegal immigrants. All by using the tax dollars of New Yorkers and all with the tacit approval and encouragement of Bloomberg.

Sir John, when I was a student at the University of New Orleans, as an undergraduate and as a grad student, most of the professors in the social sciences were anti-American. Very anti-American. And, that the is the view that they taught in all their classes.

Yeah there is definitely a higher than average percent of suicidally liberal beliefs among academics than among the general population — I know, I used to be one of them!
