Happy Christmas!
Wishing all those who celebrate Christmas a very happy and merry one filled with good cheer and a few reindeer
Today is my long day at Beer Sheva. I’m worried about leaving Muffin all day. She went back to the vet last night for more fluids. She was still running a fever but it was lower than on Tuesday. Dedi thinks she has a gastrointestinal virus. She is still barely eating but is more alert (she cried a good deal of the night wanting out of the bathroom and climbed around in there). She slept in the sink, an improvement over sleeping in the litterbox. This morning she ate about half a can of fancy feast –more than the quarter of a can she ate yesterday, but only a very tiny amount for a 10 pound cat (a 10 lb cat should be eating at least 3 cans that size a day). I’ll take her back in tomorrow morning for more fluids.

I hope Muffin is better soon Yaeli.
We have a little cat now. He appeared at our conservatory door about a month ago, very thin and loving, no micro chip, and he demanded to move in.
Anyhoo, we’ve called him Otis. Originally we wanted to call her (as we mistakenly thought him) Nina, as he’d put a spell on us. He’s been chipped, clipped, wormed and innoculated, and he and La Fluffita are learning to be friends.

If I may ask, why do you name the thing after food?

Chairwoman, good for you adopting little Otis! I often say that I can’t adopt another animal, and then they adopt me! Little Otis is in good hands now!
Mongrel, I’m guessing that Yaeli has an ulterior motive. She deviously names them after food so that if times get hard economically, she won’t feel bad about putting them on her menu. She claims to be a vegetarian…hmmmmm

Yikes! I just read a CNN story online that reports that in some parts of China cats really are on the menu!

LOL lynne, my wife’s office is next to a Chinese restaurant. There always are some stray cats in the back of that restaurant and then they are gone. Everyone in the area makes jokes about that…
But in China, yes, dogs and cats are seriously on the menu.
