Getting ready to fly
Another trip is in the offing and I’ll be leaving in a few hours for the airport. My apartment, cats, nor I have yet recovered from the last whirlwind trip. I’m thankful that this will be the last trip for a bit. It should be a really interesting one, however, and one I’m looking forward to, as both interesting colleagues and colleagues I number among my friends, will be there. I haven’t packed yet, remembering my last packing disaster, but will start packing in about three hours. First I need to change out all the litterboxes, sweep and mop. Then I’ll shower and change into comfy “fly” clothes and then fold a lot of laundry. Then I’ll pack, run feed all the outside cats on my route, put down food and water for the inside beasts, grab my stuff and go. I would really like to fit eating and a half-hour nap in there but since I have to leave out at like 2:30, I really don’t dare. If I eat, then I’ll sleep, and if I sleep I can’t guarantee I’ll wake up in time. Especially as tired as I am right now. It has been a very long day already.

What about a decent mechanical alarm clock, one with these enormous bells on top.
