The obligatory September cold just squeaked in
Every year I come down with a cold in August or September. I have no idea why but it happens every single year. This year, I thought I was going to escape. I got really close. Perhaps it was the fasting that pushed me over the edge or perhaps the change in evening weather. Whatever the reason, though, it has hit but not as badly as most years. This is cold-lite. If I got it during the school year I would just be dragging myself from pillar to post and essentially ignoring as much as possible that I was under the weather. Being now, though, I can baby myself and I have been. In the last two days I’ve gotten more sleep than any human should have, napping when my eyes feel heavy from pressure from the sinuses, puttering around for short spells and then curling up with a book or a dvd and then inevitably napping in the middle for 2-4 hours at a stretch. Yesterday I only got out of the house to go feed the outside kitties. Today, I’m only just getting ready to go out of the house and it is nearly 4. I’ll do a few errands and come back and…probably take another nap, heh. But tomorrow I’ve got to get back to getting back to work!

Good job you aren’t a man – otherwise you’d take to your bed, swearing that death is imminent and that you have “man flu” !

To re-inforce Mike, I have not taken a vacation in 7 years let alone man flu days. Yael, get well fast! You should take supplements to boost your immune system.

Mac, it is time for you to take a vacation. I’m sure that you deserve one!

First, Yael, here’s hoping you are feeling better quickly.
Second, with the latest new reports of British boycotts of Israel and the continuing alarming rise of anti-Semitism in that country, the worst in Europe, I decided it was time to respond. Let’s respond to the boycotts with one of our own. On Blogs of Zion and my own blog (linked above) I am now calling for a boycott of all things British. Let’s make anti-Semitism costly.
If you agree please write about it and/or link back to my posts.
