shabbat shalom
This is definitely going to be a Shabbat with a lot more shalom in it than last week. For one thing, Chava has declared that if her daughter can’t come on Shabbat then she doesn’t want anyone to come. This works well for me. I’m very happy to stay at home this evening and light my own little candles which have been sitting around gathering dust and not have all the stress of an evening with her. Friday nights are always stressful, with last friday taking the cake of course, but not tonight! I did promise to drop by tomorrow to check on her.
I’ve been cleaning today (messy messy cats and where do all these huge dustballs come from? It is not like I don’t sweep my apartment on a regular basis and generally mop at least 3 times a week!) I’m about to put the baby cats in a carrier and put on a load of laundry while cleaning the bathroom.
I ended up sleeping in late this morning. I was very excited to get in bed around midnight last night (early for me) and was looking forward to a good 8 hours. But of course the cats. I woke up and put additional food down for them about 4 after both Gingi and Batya bit me (not hard, just nips, but ya know) and caterwauled in my face. I woke up at 6 again when I tried to turn over and found I couldn’t move, to find Batya on my head, Muffin curled against my shoulder, Arie on my chest, Tzofia laying across one of my legs and, looking over Gingi curled immediately next to the pillow and Mischa down at the foot of the bed between my feets. We were only missing Shachori, Tinoket, Matan and Mitzi and the gang would have all been there. Wait, who am I missing…ah yes, Tzeekada was also missing in action. After shifting around cats I then slept/dozed until 10.
Tomorrow I might go to the beach for a bit. This relaxation idea has really taken hold, heh
