I just got my birthday present! It arrived at the post office earlier this week but, because the post office is on summer hours (closes every day at 1 and not open at all on fridays) I was unable to go and collect the package my mother sent for my birthday until today. Very excited I carried it home and opened it and wow! it is beautiful. And useful! And so light!! It is a little portable 350 !!!!! GB hard drive. It has a pretty green casing (yo, fashion is important in one’s electronics) and she also sent along a spiffy red carrying case to keep it protected. And do I intend to carry that puppy around. Next year, instead of lugging my laptop from pillar to post every day as I travel back and forth between home and the university, I can just bring along my portable hard drive because it has enough space to store not only all the lectures for all the classes but also all the video clips I’ll need for them — those video clips, and a couple of movies for two of the courses, take up far too much space to put on a disc on key. I can simply arrive at the lecture now and attach my hard drive to the computer in the class and i can also transfer all needed files back and forth between the office computer and home in a snap. Wow. My beautiful beautiful baby hard drive! Thank you Ema!!!!!!!
