Terrorist in a tractor attacks police car, bus full of schoolgirls

Listening to the radio every five seconds the details of the terrorist attack that took place an hour ago in Jerusalem changed: the terrorist was shot dead, no he is alive and taken to hospital. A taxi driver shot him, no a police officer shot him, no a taxi driver and a police officer shot him. And at first news was that it was only a police car attacked and that he attempted to attack an empty bus.

Now more reliable details are coming out. The man did indeed attack and attempt to attack a number of civilian vehicles as well as the police car. The tractor attempted to try to flip the bus which was not empty but rather filled will little girls in Purim costumes on their way to cheer up patients at the Hadassah Hospital for the holiday. Fortunately for the children, a fallen electrical post prevented the tractor from flipping over the bus. The electrical post being in the way gave the schoolgirls time to get out of the bus to safety. ZAKA operation commander Haim Weinrot said that “the girls were hysterical. They saw the enormous scoop heading toward them and saw death approaching, but they were saved at the last minute by the post.” Several of the children were treated for shock at the scene.

The cab driver who shot at the terrorist said that he saw the tractor speeding along the highway and then saw the police car fly into the air. He flipped it over twice, then continued dragging it toward the bus that was stuck in traffic.

The terrorist was shot at by both the cab driver and a policeman and he has since died of his wounds. Mayor Nir Barakat is calling for the terrorist’s home to be demolished, saying “This was an attack carried out exclusively for the purpose of harming civilians.”

    Hello Yael,

And who was this terrorist? An Arab Israeli!!!!!!!
Oh, I hear you say, Arab Israelis in Israel are not all terrorists!!!! I heard that story too! The problem is that when one terrorist happens to have an inclination to commit a terrorist act, he just happens to be an Arab Israeli!!!

Same story for the support to Hamas and Hezbollah but this time nearly all of the Arab Israelis of Israel, Gaza or Jerusalem support not only Hamas but also Hezbollah!! Often you can only hear their support when they speak Arabic on Arabic TVs!

That is the reality, Yael. Sad reality but nevertheless the reality. These people, the Arab Israelis of Israel, be it of Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem, they or their parents and grand parents came to Israel following the injunction by Arab leaders to invade the land of Israel to prevent Jews from settling on it!! And now that they are there, they want a Muslim state in place of the Jewish state of Israel. And what do they do? They try to increase the Muslim population of Israel with family reunifications and so on!

As much as I would like to see Israelis and Muslims in peace with each other, it will not happen in Israel! Why? Because it is a religious conflict and the Israelis try to categorize it by anything but a religious conflict. Why? They know that if it is a religious conflict, there is no peace in end!! They know that, in case of a religious conflict, they will have to take measures like asking the Muslims to go back to where they come from, their Arab countries!!
That is why Israeli politicians always try to call the conflict between Israelis (no matter how religious or not they are) and the Muslims of Israel and elsewhere anything but a religious conflict!

The Israelis will see the light (expulsion of all the Muslims of Israel) only after decades of pain (rockets, wars, etc.)!! But they will postpone to the ultimate end the inevitable necessity to take the only solution available, asking the Muslims of Israel to leave!! Only when all the Muslims of Israel will leave, only then will true peace become a reality in Israel. I am fully convinced of that. Not that I would love to see the Muslims of the world love the Jewish people all around the world but this type of Utopian scenario is probably the domain of the Peres and Rabin aficionados of Israel I guess! And many of these Utopian aficionados of Israel belong to the Israeli left but even the right is as blind as the left with such blind rightist such as Netanyahu, even Lieberman who proclaimed that he is for a two-state “solution”, showing how stupid he is also!

Having said that, I hope you will create, build something for the future in Israel that will transcend yourself as a human being … Something that will be there long after you are gone …

All the best, Yael, and I mean it. Lucky you to be living on the ancestral land of Israel. If you love this land, please do not vote for parties that plan to give it up to Arabs in the name of another Utopian dream of peace!! When will Israelis learn from their past mistakes at least once?!!!

Wipe Out, I understand your anger. But, I cannot condemn a whole group of people. This was the actions of an individual, just as the actions of a misguided, unbalanced, miserable man (Timothy McVey), a former soldier, carried out a bombing against innocent people in Oklahoma years ago. No doubt that there are people who may agree with his actions against the government, and they are crazy, too. Anyone who supports terrorism is immoral and vile. That said, we cannot condemn Arab Israelis, only individuals who are terrorists.

  4. Sir John says:

Is it really that simple? I hear that all the time: “we cannot condemn a whole group of people, this was the action of an individual” and so on. Actually I don’t think this is true. These muslim terrorists operate from a basis of support that is found in their communities. They are being supported, encouraged, equipped, compensated, rewarded and applauded by their fellow muslims in the West Bank, in Gaza, in Iran and everywhere else in the world. This is a fact people in the West finally should understand.

Israel and America are at war. In a war the actions of individual soldiers do not really count, it is the concerted effort of the whole group of soldiers with all their support base that determines the outcome of the war. Islamic terrorists are soldiers in that war, they individually are expandable and exchangeable. Going only after each terrorist once he or she has revealed himself is fruitless: actually they have already included the fact that they will lose the soldier in their calculations.

Unless we finally step up and destroy their support base, the nest where they come from, we will never end this war and might well lose it.

In WWII the allies did not go after each German soldier, each SS concentration camp guard, each Japanese sailor individually. On the contrary, they went after the whole bunch, they bombed their cities, destroyed their infrastructure, killed whoever they could find on enenmy territory. As terrible as it sounds, only this way the war finally was won.

Now this has been the third attack using construction equipment. The consequence should be that no muslim should be allowed near any such equipment any more. Period.
