35:35 no “disproportionate” force today
As of 9 p.m. tonight, Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched a volley of rockets at Israel, with some 35 rockets pounding the area, leading to fourteen civilians wounded, four residential buildings badly damaged, an electric cable in Sderot being cut leaving Sderot without power, and a Sdot Negev greenhouse destroyed .
In response on Friday, IAF planes attacked 35 targets in the Strip, including homes of Hamas terrorists, weapons caches, and smuggling tunnels in response to the rockets fired from Gaza, leading to eight deaths.

While CNN has begun to vilify Israel at every news report and has shifted to calling Hamas “militants” rather than the terrorists that they are, Fox continues to provide more accurate, much more accurate information about Israel, the situation that led to the recent operation by Israel against Hamas, and to provide information about Hamas. I have read about young Mosah Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas official, who escaped from Hamas. I remember when reading about him that he should hide his location and to use an assumed name to protect himself from his family and other Hamas members and sympathizers. He has refused to hide and he is again speaking out against Hamas. He will be featured on Fox News on Saturday at 10pm ET and on Sunday at 9pm ET. There is an article about him up now on the Fox online news site (Jan. 2, 3pm in Austin, Texas).
It will be surprise to nobody that he states that Hamas is a terrorist organization that tortures its own members. I am amazed by the courage of this young man in speaking out, knowing the risks as he does.

Yeeeah, but this can`t go on forever. IDF has to decide on an exit strategy now. The stakes are getting to high.
From what I can gather, the US, Uk and Egypt, tries to cook something up that might look appelling to the arab states.
The ingridiens schould be arab troops and international monitoring.
We will see, I don`t want it to rumble in Cairo.
Then again….If the sh.. hits the fan, you can alwas blame Egypt, as the sandmonkey so wisely has put it.
The problem as I see it at the moment, is that Hamas is doing the override button on everything logical comming their way. they want the groundwar for the honour. Fruitless and stupid, but hamas logic.

Jens, you can believe that there is much going on behind the scenes. Go over to GN and read the post there and the comments from neighbors in the Middle East (those posting right now are from Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Canada, the US, ..) A lively conversation (and respectful) .
