Yesterday I had to be back at work, as there was no possibility of finding someone to cover my statistics class and I’d already learned that the “watch a movie” had ended in a balagan with the class being sent home, because the person sent to start the movie couldn’t get the movie to start. I’m still not sure why or what the problem was (the movie and dvd players being region compatible and the movie works just fine on my computer and in my dvd).

So yesterday I was back in the lecture hall and came home so exhausted that I simply fell asleep upon entering my apartment. I slept fully through one of my “take your antibiotic” times and several hours beyond the next dosing. I awoke this morning though in a bit less pain and with the swelling pretty much gone –you’d have to know my face intimately to see where it was still a bit puffier than usual. I got caught in a horrific traffic jam this morning on the Ayalon on the way in to a meeting and, though I ended up arriving only 8 minutes beyond the start of the meeting time, discovered that my meetee had not waited around. I’ve been groaning about this all day because it put me quite uselessly getting into work a full 3 hours before I had to again lecture (meaning I could have rested and recuperated for a good bit more time). Having missed one dose of the antibiotics seems to have put me back a bit in the pain department as the pain is more severe this evening than it was yesterday and I’m starting to puff back up a bit.

I got home about an hour and a bit ago and am planning on hitting the bed and setting my alarm for the appropriate time to take the meds. I’d have done this last night and maybe not missed the dose if I’d meant to go to sleep rather than just sit down. Then again, I didn’t hear the cats get on the top shelf of a bookcase in the study and knock down every single plant, a cat carrier, and a variety of other objects because they objected to my sitting down and sleeping without feeding them. Nu, cleaning occurs tomorrow!
