Basically: Guy Bechor is right, in spades.

Don’t give ANYTHING to any Muslim ‘negotiator’. Islam’s model par excellence for negotiations between Muslim and Infidel persons and polities is the legendary Treaty of Hudaybiyya – you’ll find a lucid summary in Robert Spencer’s book ‘Truth About Muhammad’, pp. 136-39. Mohammed made it feigningly with the (non-Muslim) Meccans and then treacherously broke it as soon as he was strong enough, destroying his deluded Infidel treaty partners – and this supreme act of cleverness [from our POV, wickedness] has been greatly admired by Muslim political and military theorists ever since, and assiduously copied throughout their history. You see, EVERYTHING Mohammed the so-called ‘perfect man’ ever did (including, BTW, so Muslim tradition says, marrying six year old Aisha and bedding her when she turned nine) is right, and is regarded as providing an excellent model of conduct, for all Muslims, for all time.

We Western Christians, and you Jews also, have gotten the idea of steadfast oath-keeping from the example of covenant-making-and-keeping YHWH, together with a horror of the idea of betrayal (sure, we’ve had traitors and expedient politicians aplenty, but we don’t admire them, we despise them). No such thing in Islam – ‘allah’ is praised for his trickiness, he is the ‘best of deceivers’, and neither makes nor keeps promises.

In the Hadith, Mohammed is recorded as saying ‘War is deceit’. Islam permits Muslims to lie in time of war. Problem: according to Quran Surah 9, the entire Ummah is essentially in a state of war with the entire non-Muslim world, all the time. So lying to us non-Muslims is OK. See where ‘Pallywood’ comes from, now?

Final point to note: the Quran expressly forbids pious Muslims to ever make real or lasting friendship, or political agreements, such as treaties, with non-Muslims; friendship may be feigned, for Muslim advantage, and treaties may be made, but both ‘friendship’ and ‘treaties’ with non-Muslims are supposed to be purely expedient and temporary, with the aim of ultimately doing down the non-Muslims and gaining political and other dominance over them. Persian apostate from Islam, Ali Sina, stresses that Islam DOES NOT TEACH ‘the Golden Rule’; instead, see Quran 48: 29 – ‘those who follow him (Mohammed) are ruthless toward the Unbelievers [non-Muslims] but merciful to one another’. To fellow Muslims ONLY – ‘kindness’ – but toward non-Muslims, all non-Muslims…cruelty, harshness, contempt, aggression.

Sounds nasty? It *is* nasty – but it happens to be all there in the classic Muslim texts and their interpretations, in black and white, and the evidence that a great many Muslims have done to non-Muslims all the horrid things that their ‘prophet’ advised and their jurists and theologians elaborated upon, is all over 1300 years of documented Muslim dealings with Infidels. Treaties written in sand…

DON’T, in the name of G-d I beg you, let your foolish government give the Golan to the Syrian Arab Muslims. If they have the military high ground, sooner or later, I guarantee, they will use it.
