i have always wanted to go into one of those succot huts. it seems like a great fall holiday. of course, i might have a bias, having spent so many of my formative years inside of the huddle hut (an even poorer white version of waffle house, which i prefer, but i needed a hut reference and "pizza" and "jabba the" seemed to obvious).

Consider yourself redeemed!! :-) I had dinner on the first night of succot at the chabad house in town. In my years in Venezuela and Texas I forgot how cold it can be in a northern succah. It's a good thing we had matzah ball soup to keep us warm! I hope next week you will tell us about simchat torah. That is one of my favorites. I mean, there is the dancing part, but I also really like the way we complete the cycle of reading the old testament and then start right back at the beginning again. I 've never been in Israel for the chaggim so it would be nice to hear what it is like there. Chag Sameach!!

My favorite holiday (although the cheesecake one is pretty good too).
Christians may recognize it as the Feast of Tabernacles.
